Legacy Giving

If you are considering this as an option we invite you to reach out to us at msw.treas@gmail.com.

How do we use your gifts?

As any of our members will tell you, being part of a music ensemble is something special. Each year we engage in 30-40 rehearsals and perform 5-6 concerts. There are three things that have made us successful year after year:

  • Our dedicated musicians
  • A team of committed volunteers
  • Our generous concertgoers and donors

We recognize that the ability to give varies from person to person however, we cannot stress enough that every dollar matters to our organization and is greatly appreciated.

Gifts under $100 are commonly applied to:
  • Concert expenses
  • Purchase of published music
  • Instrument rental (e.g. waterphones, anvils, and more!)
Gifts of $100-249 are commonly applied to:
  • Investment in consortium memberships for new works by emerging composers
  • Sponsorship of member dues for members facing financial difficulty
  • Music licensing to share our performances on the internet
Gifts of $250-499 are commonly applied to:
  • Costs associated with rehearsal room rentals
  • Investment in consortium memberships for new works by established composers
  • Harpist fees
Gifts of $500 and above are commonly applied to:
  • Aid in covering concert venue rentals (Fees vary, but can be as much as $5,000 per performance.)
  • Audio and video concert recording fees
  • Professional soloist honorariums
  • Guest conductor honorariums
