MSW resumes 9/13!

Dear MSW members,

I hope you enjoyed your summer and are eager to make music again! Rehearsals resume Wednesday, September 13, 7:30 PM at Edina High School. Morgan May is our new president and he is excited to begin a new season with a board meeting at 6:30 PM (right before rehearsal) on September 13. All are welcome!

Below are welcoming words from Tim. See you next week!
Jill Westermeyer
MSW Manager

“I’ve roused from my fifth retirement nap of the day to pen this little note that will hopefully express the excitement bubbling within me for the upcoming Minnesota Symphonic Winds season.  The calendar is falling in place with strong performance opportunities ahead that will be matched with an engaging programming mix of old standards and new, if not brand new, repertoire.  The officers, management, and board are all invested in solidifying our ensemble and the experiences we hope to share. We’re in a really good place.

I feel so fortunate to have MSW in my life and I hope that you do, as well.  See you soon.  Now is a good time to practice a bit every day and review the music before the first rehearsal.

Also, we need at least six Japanese fans that we can rub together as percussion instruments.  Please check your box o’ stuff and see if you can help out!  Preferably pitch in A flat.

That’s a joke.  Of course they’re in B flat.

Thanks!

Tim”
